Adding a Second Login Method to an Existing Account (Account Linking)

Hi there! In this article, we’re going to cover how you can add a second login method to your Deskfirst account – either your email address or your Google account. Ready? Let’s dive in.
Prerequisites
- Before you can add a second login method, you need to have a Deskfirst account.
- To add a second login method, the email address of the second method must match the email address of the method that was used during sign-up to Deskfirst.
Add to an existing Deskfirst account a second login method
The account linking feature will allow you to add a second login method to your Deskfirst account.
This means that if you signed up to Deskfirst using your email, you can add your Google account as a second login method, and vice versa. This will make access to Deskfirst even faster and easier!
To be able to do that, the email address of the second method must match the email address of the method that was used during sign-up to Deskfirst (i.e. if you signed up using the email address [email protected] and you want to be able to log in with Google, the Google’s account email address needs to be [email protected] as well, and vice versa.)
Here’s how it’s done:
Access the sign-up page
- Go to Deskfirst’s homepage at – Deskfirst.com.
- If you’re logged in to your Deskfirst account, log out first.
- Click on the Sign Up button on the top menu.
- If you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, check the box.
- Continue to the next section based on which login method you’d like to add.
Add your Google account as a second login method
- Click on the Sign Up with Google button. This will redirect you either to Google’s login page, or the Google account selection page. Proceed with the Google account that matches the email address you used during sign-up to Deskfirst.
- An Account Linking message will appear, click on the Continue button.
- Fill in your matching Deskfirst account credentials – email and password – and click Log In.
You’ll be immediately logged into your Deskfirst account and from now on you’ll be able to use your Google account to log in as well!
Add your email address as a second login method
- In the Email field, fill in the email address matching the email address of the Google account that you used during sign-up to Deskfirst.
- In the rest of the fields, fill in the required information.
- Click the Sign Up button.
- An Account Linking message will appear. Proceed by clicking on the Continue button.
- If you are not currently signed in to your Google account, you will be asked to sign in. Proceed with signing in to your Google account (must be the exact same address and your first login method).
- You will be logged into your Deskfirst account and from now on you’ll be able to use the credentials you’ve set to log in as well.
